Location

Situated in the historic center, it is very easy to access all the sights of Rome. We really like this location because everything one might need is so close. Tourist sites are really convenient, the most famous within about a 20 minute walk. All transportation options are close. Restaurants and shops abound. Across the street are important Italian government offices where it is interesting to watch the comings and goings of VIP’s.

Interior

Puccini is located in fine palazzo from the 1800s.

Sink into the comfy L-shaped leather sofa and relax after a busy day of sightseeing. The spacious and bright living room, with cheerful terrazzo floors, overlooks a quiet street.

The living room and dining area are open plan to the cheerful, modern kitchen.

For larger groups we suggest renting the Puccini apartment in conjunction with the 2 bedroom Verdi apartment across the hall.

Heat/AC: Italian law regulates air conditioning & heat usage in order to control national energy consumption. Air conditioning: Living room & bedroom 1 have 'split style' AC wall units. Bedroom 2 has eco-cooling tower fan. 3rd bedroom has a ceiling fan, no AC.

Trevi Fountain (14 mins Walking)
Beautiful Baroque fountain, the largest in Rome, a city of fountains. Here is where you throw 3 coins over your shoulder to ensure you will return to Rome.
Spanish Steps (16 mins Walking)
One of the most famous piazzas in the world with the beautiful steps rising from the Barcaccia ("bad boat") fountain to the Trinita dei Monti church. Neighborhood for designer shopping and people-watching.
St. Peter's Basilica (18 mins Walking)
One of the holiest catholic churches, the church of the Pope. It is very large and filled with inspiring and beautiful art and areas. A tour is recommended.
Coliseum (21 mins Walking)
Icon of Rome and Roman times, the arena of the gladiators.
Roman Forum (21 mins Walking)
The most important location of religion, politics and social activities in ancient Rome. History echoes through the ruins. Recommend a guide or audio tour.
Pantheon (22 mins Walking)
Must-visit. This temple to all the gods (pan-theon in Greek) breathes history starting with its architecture from 2000 years ago. It is the only complete monument from Roman times. Built of concrete, the hemispherical roof is of one piece with its hole in the center.
Piazza Navona (26 mins Walking)
Iconic piazza of Rome where Romans once raced their chariots. Three beautiful fountains the chief being the Fountain of the Four rivers. Enjoy street musicians and small vendors. Great place to hang out, dine and have a gelato.
Campo de' Fiori (32 mins Walking)
Large, central piazza with famous and picturesque daily open-air farmer's market, surrounded by restaurants. Famous statue of philosopher Giordano Bruno burned here for heresy. Young folks gather here in the evenings. Thick with history and in the heart of the city.
