Fantastic location! This elegant, comfortable and bright apartment will simply amaze you with its proximity to the Ponte Vecchio and fascinating views over the Arno from your own private terrace.

Overlooking the Arno river and Oltrarno area, enjoy memorable views and a location right in the heart of the historic center.

Location

The apartment is located in the most central historic center location. You can be at the entrance to the Uffizi Gallery in just two minutes, stroll the Ponte Vecchio at your doorstep. Enjoy the convenience of a location that is second to none when it comes to views and accessibility to the sites.

Exterior

The apartment building is on tiny Piazza del Pesce at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio bridge. This area was heavily damaged during World War II, and while the Ponte Vecchio was spared, many of the buildings on either side of the bridge, including several 14th century houses that were on this piazza facing the loggia to the Uffizi along the Arno river, were destroyed. Post-war this area was completely rebuilt, including the building within which the Memoria apartment is located. So what the building lacks in Renaissance architectural embellishments, it makes up for in views, light and modern conveniences which are often not found in many of Florence`s historic buildings, where refurbishment is limited by ancient structures.

Interior

Sunlight streams through the completely unobstructed windows and views from the living room, dining room and both bedrooms. The apartment is roomy and very comfortable, furnished to a very high standard. The living room is large and graciously appointed with two sofas and three comfortable armchairs. Parquet floors throughout the living room and dining room/study. Wall-to-wall terrace doors are southward facing and open out onto a small terrace. The terrace is delightful for taking in the stunning views of the Arno and Oltrarno views. It is furnished with a table and two chairs. We never tire of this terrace when we visit. There is a TV with satellite in the living room.

Off the living room is a combination dining room/study with a large window with stunning views and. An expandable dining table can seat up to 12 people. There is a small desk in this room, a handy workspace if needed.

There is air conditioning in the living room, dining room, both bedrooms and the kitchen. Because the apartment gets full afternoon sun, it can get quite warm in the height of the summer season, when A/C is essential. There are screens on the bedroom windows.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has a large refrigerator, separate freezer, dishwasher, microwave, 5-burner gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher, Italian espresso pot and drip coffee maker, toaster. The laundry room has a washer, dryer and sink.

Pure comfort in Florence

by Jerry and Sue Weber

This was our second stay in Memoria - a very comfortable and spacious apartment in the heart of Florence. The location at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio is perfect and the views from the terrace are spectacular. The rooms are large, the kitchen fully equipped and there is a laundry room with washer and dryer. The desk in the living room has a power bar where we could plug in all our devices at once. The host is delightful and very helpful. Italy Perfect has provided great service for all our stays.

Wonderful apartment in a great location

by Vicki Davis

We absolutely loved our stay in Florence. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The location at Ponte Vecchio is perfect for enjoying both sides of the Arno. Even though the location is central and crowded with people, the apartment was very quiet. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend the apartment! To others.

Absolutely perfect stay

by Deborah C

This was an absolutely perfect stay. From the beginning, communication with Italy Perfect was easy and responsive. The greeter, was lovely to work with. She accommodated an early arrival and helped with reserving an early morning taxi. The apartment was beautiful and perfectly located near all the wonderful restaurants and attractions. Taxis were available just outside the door. There was an extensive collection of travel books and Italy Perfect's restaurant list was helpful. The apartment's manual had all the information we needed about the apartment and some great restaurant suggestions. We hope to return to this wonderful apartment and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and convenient home for a stay in Florence. How about that view!

Ideally located to enjoy Florence.

by Francois N

Beautiful apartment with a view of the Ponte Vecchio, ideally located to enjoy Florence. Very comfortable apartment, the rooms and bedrooms are large, so everything is very pleasant to live in. The kitchen is also quite large and fully equipped, a large bathroom and other much smaller. The decor is a little outdated but it's also all the charm of this apartment. The view is sumptuous and completely unobstructed on the Arno, the air conditioning in summer is really a plus because it was very hot this year in July. Isabel is perfect, attentive, very available and helpful. Really perfect apartment that we highly recommend.

Memoria Apt. Florence

We loved the Memoria apartment! There were 4 of us, and the location was perfect. Walking distance to everything! Our host was great, and made herself available for any questions, and included a tour of local artisans. We would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous Location

by Marian R

We loved staying at the Memoria apartment. Wonderful location right at the entrance to the Ponte Vecchio bridge. We enjoyed listening to the music when it was played on the bridge from our balcony. Apartment is well appointed, nice couches and chairs in living room with sliding glass doors to the balcony. Kitchen had all the items needed cooking. 2 Bedrooms, one with a nice comfortable queen bed and the other with 2 twins that slept us 3 women comfortably. 2 baths, one with tub shower combo. The 2nd bath was small but had a walk-in shower. Very nice both a washer and dryer. The air conditioning in each room can be controlled individually. Isabel met us at the apartment and went over all the essentials of the apartment and then took us around to show us the best bank, some good restaurants (we ate at both & would highly recommend!), and some places for jewelry & leather. She was responsive, helpful and pleasant. She even met with one of us in the early morning for a power walk. This was truly a lovely stay and we'd love to stay again if ever in Florence.

We would love to welcome you back Marian! The Italy Perfect Team

Memorable views

by Jean M

Two couples traveling over Easter, third time for one and first for the other. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the bridge was one of many highlights of the start, midday and evening memories we will have. Accessible to walking throughout the city. Great restaurant suggestions by our hostess. We had slight issue with hot water and all was rectified within the hour. Convenient to supermarket just over the bridge, Conas which had anything we needed. The apartment was very well equipped and our only complaint was we had to leave at the end of our vacation.

We hope you will be able to return to enjoy the memorable views of Memoria! The Italy Perfect Team

Wonderful stay!

by Jean Merenda

This apartment had all you could ask for in Florence. Excellent location to watch the people at Ponte Vecchio and walk throughout Florence. Close to supermarkets, restaurants and a gelataria at the base of the apartment. Well equipped with kitchenware and towels. Sitting on the terrace for morning coffee, afternoon respite or evening drinks topped off a lovely apartment. Very comfortable seating and dining areas. The one bathroom is a bit small but the bedrooms were nicely arranged with lots of closet space. A nice plus was the washing machine, dryer and dishwasher to make your stay convenient. If we return to Florence we would return to this apartment.

We appreciate your five-star review Jean! We are delighted that you enjoyed the comforts and location of Memoria. The Italy Perfect Team

Lovely accommodations

by James

We stayed at the apartment for nine nights. It was exactly as we had hoped: clean, comfortable, well equipped, and well located. The location at the end of the Ponte Vecchio couldn\'t be better, being as central as it is. The apartment was very spacious, larger than it looks in the photos. It was very well appointed with ample closet space for three adults as well as laundry facilities and a fully-equipped kitchen. Isabel was very attentive to our every need and was very gracious in welcoming us, explaining how to work everything, and even gave us a nice walk around the neighborhood to show us convenient locations for groceries, ATM, gelato, etc., and offered to give us a more extensive tour later in our stay. Everything about our stay was perfect and we were very pleased.

Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful review and experience at the Memoria Apartment. We are thrilled to hear that the apartment ticket all the right boxes for you! The Italy Perfect Team

Memoria Review

We loved our stay in Florence. Memoria is located right at the end of the the Ponte Vecchio bridge....the location was perfect for us. Since it's close to the bridge you do hear some street noise but nothing that kept us awake. We enjoyed the sounds of the city and the street music that occurred most nights. And most everything was within walking distance. We were fortunate to be in Florence when the marathon was taking place. Our balcony provided us with a birds eye view of the runners as they crossed over the Ponte Vecchio. Exciting! Florence has so much to offer in culture, eating experiences and shopping. A few of the restaurants we enjoyed are Mangiafoco Osteria, La Galleria, and Rooster Firenze. I would recommend you trying them all! The apartment was roomy, clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed. Our greeter, Isabel, was very nice, provided us with all the necessary information and was available if we needed to reach out. I would utilize Italy Perfect again and would recommend them if your planning a trip. [We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay and the Memoria Apartment Robin! We would love to welcome you back soon! This is the second time we have gone to Florence and used Italy Perfect. The accommodations at Memoria are excellent. It Is in walking distance for all the sites in Florence. The personnel at Italy perfect were very helpful in working out arrangements for the apartment and provided helpful other information. Once we arrived, Isabel was very helpful in coordinating activities such as a driver for excursions, cleaning lady for the apartment and suggestions for things to do. The month in Florence was outstanding. [Thank you for the great review Roy! We would love to welcome you back a third time! The Italy Perfect Team]

Memoria apartment is in the best location imaginable! The balcony overlooks the Arno River, right at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio. The view is spectacular. You can see some of the famous sites of Florence 4 stories up as you enjoy your glass of wine. The flat is spacious and modern, with every amenity you can imagine (including an American-style washer and dryer, very unusual to find in Italy). And I mean EVERY amenity, including many guide books in English, books on Florence art, and much more. The kitchen is thoroughly equipped and then some. You can walk to the famous Florence sites in minutes. Isabel, the manager, is a gem. She quickly responds to messages and phone calls, and she gets things done immediately (not that we had any problems, just a few questions about getting around). She's a great help in guiding your way around Florence. Our experience booking with Italy Perfect was, well...perfect. Email and phone communication was great, everything was better than we were told it would be. We will certainly book through Italy Perfect again. [Thank you for your great review! This was our first trip where we decided to stay in an apartment versus a hotel and we were happy with that decision. Isabel, our greeter was very nice and showed us where everything was and how appliances worked. Memoria was spacious (a lot of closets) and CLEAN! This is a 2bed/2bath apartment with a great balcony that overlooks the Ponte Vecchio. From the balcony you get a great view of the Arno River and a picturesque view of the sunset. One very important feature to us was the Washer and Dryer. It allowed us to pack lighter than we normally would and to keep our clothes clean and fresh. We were here for 11 nights and will certainly stay here again on our next trip to Florence!! [We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your trip and our apartment! We stayed for a week in the Memoria apartment in late March. There was plenty of room for 2 couples to not get in each other's way, and lots of room for lounging and enjoying the view of the bridge and the Arno. The apartment is really lovely and well equipped, and the location (literally 2 steps from the Ponte Vecchio) cannot be improved upon. We would cheerfully recommend this place to anyone. My only caveat--shampoo and soap are not provided, so either bring some or prepare for a market run once you get there (the market is not even 5 minutes away on foot, just across the bridge). We had a wonderful trip and your organized accommodations and support people were terrific. The locations were wonderful and the units perfect. Isabel helped us with our selection of restaurants and making reservations for us and for her advice. We only used a "guide" once for the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peters and she was great. We learned not only about the art and monuments, but also about the history that is so important. We walked about 5-7 miles per day and used public transportation successfully. Both Rome and Florence were wonderful as we remembered from before. Thank you for your great help. We will support and recommend you - Italy Perfect - and probably use Paris Perfect and London Perfect in the future. We greatly appreciated getting to "know" you and learning from you and your teams. {We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]

Memoria Review

We were two couples spending a month in Italy and we spent 5 days in Florence at the Memoria. The apartment balcony looks over the Arno River and the Ponte Vecchio. We could open the large sliding glass doors to the balcony and enjoy the noise and excitement of the city, and when we closed the windows, the apartment became very quiet. The apartment was very spacious, light-filled, and clean. The beds were comfortable, as was the furniture in the sitting area. There was an eating area in the large kitchen and a charming dining room. This was our second week of travel and we loved the actual laundry room with ironing board, iron, washer and dryer. Another huge plus was the elevator for the times we didn't feel like taking the stairs to the fourth floor. It was a few minutes walk to anything we wanted to do in Florence. The Uffizi is a mere block away, several excellent grocery stores were nearby, and it was maybe a 5 -10 minute walk to the Duomo or the Mercato Centralo (a must visit for lunch while in Florence). Perfect location. Italy Perfect was easy to work with and provided all the local info we needed. If we return to Florence we will rent this apartment again. Memoria Review

Our stay in Memoria in October was a delight! We couldn’t have asked for a better location or more comfortable place to be for our ten days in Florence. The views are incredible, the beds are excellent, the kitchen is more than adequate, the living room furniture is very comfortable, and I could go on. One minor concern that we had prior to getting there is possible noise from the Ponte Vecchio area; however, with the windows closed the apartment is silent. We also found that opening the windows for a few hours during the middle of the night was very acceptable for fresh-air addicts. The only possible drawback of the apartment is the small second bathroom; it was fine for the couple that was with us, but would be too small for very large people. And speaking of the other couple, the two bedrooms are virtually the same so there is no issue about one couple getting an inferior bedroom. [Thank you so much Anne! The Italy Perfect Team]

... it would pass through the apartment below A memorable location and view. The balcony drew us back repeatedly for morning coffee, apperitivo and nightcaps. Two couples thoroughly enjoyed their late September week at Memoria. The apartment is spacious, spotless, secure, nicely furnished and quiet. The first bedroom and first bath are especially comfortable. The second bedroom and second bath are smaller, typical of most city apartments. I feel quite comfortable recommending Memoria and Italy Perfect to others. Enjoy. [Thank you Cliff, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]

Memoria Review

by Arnold
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Memoria apartment. The location and the view of the Arno from the living room window are great! The apartment is well equipped, and everything functioned well. The Sapori & Dintorni market just across the river has everything one needs. We were fortunate to arrive in Florence just as the "Lucifer" heatwave broke, and so it was pleasant walking all over town. Our recommendation for visitors include the Museo dell' Opera del Duomo (particularly for the statuary) and the only 20th century art museum in town, the Museo Novecento. Trattoria Sostanza (no credit cards accepted) has their signature buttery chicken and artichoke pie dishes which are simply marvelous. Note to all: avoid Zeb Gastronomia. Despite the NY Times recommendation, the chef/owner is a pompous, pretentious bully who doesn't respect his North American customers. Lo Spillo on Borgo San Jacopo is a unique, tiny shop with affordable handmade jewelry. Special thanks to Pat who patiently answered all my questions concerning the apartment. Also thanks to our "greeter", Isabel, who is accommodating and very knowledgeable. [Thank you Arnold, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]

Memoria is ideally located for exploring all of the charms of Florence. The apartment is right on the Arno River less than 1/2 a block from the Ponte Vecchio bridge. It is a lovely apartment, comfortable, light and airy, with everything you could want. The views from in the terrace in the early morning before the crowds stream to the Uffizi are wonderful. The photos really do not do it justice. If you were going to live in Florence, you would want to live here. The apartment is within walking distance of just about everything. There is a great grocery store just across the bridge, the Uffizi is just down the street, and a 10 minute stroll takes you to the Domo and the other major sites. We will be back and hope to re-book Memoria. I give this apartment a 10 out of 10, highly recommended. Our greater was fantastic, very helpful, and gave us lots of good recommendations as to restaurants, etc.

Couldn't have asked for a better location for exploring all that Florence has to offer. The team at Italy Perfect (Pat and Lisa) are phenomenal!!! Their communications, coordination, and friendly assistance were spectacular. They went out their way to assist with travel to wine country, and recommend good local restaurants (not touristy.) The property is decorated to a very high standard - everything you need is there. The views are spectacular!! We could not have been more pleased with our stay at your apartment, Memoria. The apartment was large, comfortable and lovely. The balcony overlooking the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio were icing on the cake. What an amazing location; we literally felt that we were in the middle of everything and a short walk away from all the great shops, museums, duomos and restaurants. The real treat was meeting our greeter! She spent a lot of time helping us get our bearings the day we arrived. Throughout our stay she was on-call, guiding us with our shopping choices (because of her, we got some great deals) and prioritizing the sites to see during our short stay. She had many tips that made our stay stress-free, including purchasing our train tickets to Venice the day before departure. We simply cannot say enough good things about her. We not only plan to rent Memoria again, we hope to see her too! [Thank you Laura and Bob!]

In the heart of it all...As this was my first trip to Italy and Florence, I am grateful for the level of service, and quality of lodging Italy Perfect offered. The destination/location advice for our needs was spot on, and reservation process very personable and efficient. Our taxi dropped us off at Memoria, from the train station, so we could promptly meet our greeter, and receive a timely, informative, and thorough orientation to the flat, and the area. The first thing you realize about Memoria, is the central location. Our door is at the base of one side of the Ponte Vecchio! So surreal. We walked to all the major museums and sites from our front door taking literally just minutes to Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti, Accademia Gallery, Cathedral of Santa Maria Fiore, and wonderful outdoor markets, as well as a plethora of boutiques and restaurants of all price points. When inside, the views over the Ponte Vecchio into the Tuscan hillside were breathtaking, virtually any time day or night. Loved that balcony. The flat is nicer than it appears in the photos. It includes comfy furniture, good wifi, good water pressure, washer & dryer (!), ample closet space and a well-appointed kitchen (used primarily for breakfasts) and very clean. Loved the formal dining room for entertaining a small group for dinner. Hope to return next year.

What a view!! This spacious, bright & sunny apartment is literally on the Arno, right next to the Ponte Vecchio, you could not ask for a more perfect location! Enjoy your morning coffee sitting on the terrace watching the day bustle to a start and in the evening, sip your wine while watching the sunset over the Arno. The apartment is very clean and comfortable, with plenty of closet space, large well equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms (great water pressure), one of which is quite large. Noise while sleeping was not an issue as they have very good windows and, when closed, block most of the street sounds. There is a convenient, very well stocked grocery store an easy 5 minute walk just on the other side of the bridge, also a pharmacy right around the corner….really everything you need is in very easy (flat) walking distance with all the major sites just minutes away. A truly fantastic location. The living room sofas and chairs are very comfortable and there are large sliding glass doors from the living room onto the terrace that give the dining and living rooms tons of light and, of course, views. While it was sunny on my visit, I imagine the apartment would be airy even on rainy days. I’ve stayed in a number of Italy Perfect apartments over the years, and this one is assuredly up to their standards….I would move in long term if I could! Lisa and Pat, thank you for your professionalism and attention to detail…this apartment is wonderful, I’ll never forget those views!

We were met by Isabel promptly and given a full tour of the apartment. It's a beautiful space and the huge sliding doors to the balcony give you the perfect view of the bridge and river. It's so easy to walk to everything from this location. She was so helpful and offered to assist us with any questions we had. She gave us restaurant recommendations that were off the beaten path and even scheduled our taxi rides for departure. We would highly recommend this apartment and especially Isabel. [Such a pleasure to receive your beautiful comments and to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Memoria apartment. We'll be sure to pass along your thanks to our greeter Isabel as well. Having been to Florence before we knew the location was a busy one but the apartment is high enough and the windows good enough to shut out most noise. The views up and down the Arno are fantastic and the location within easy walking distance of just about everything. The kitchen is well stocked, especially compared to many other rentals we've used. The apartment is spacious. A notable feature is the greeter Isabel. Despite some confusion surrounding our arrival time she met us promptly at the apartment and was eager to help with restaurant, touring, and other suggestions. She also offered to make some dining reservations and reserve a cab back to the airport. We used Italy Perfect after a good experience with Paris Perfect, and will probably use the company again.

The apartment was located right at the bridge so shopping and restaurants were very close. Isabel was our greeter and she was super helpful. She offered restaurant suggestions and tour ideas. She even arranged for out taxi ride when we were leaving. All the information that Italy Perfect provided made our trip so much easier. Just FYI, the elevator is very small so if you happen to squeeze 4 people in and it doesn't move...you are over the limit.

Memoria was a comfortable apartment in an absolutely ideal location. We can't imagine staying in any other place when we go back to Florence! And our greeter, Isabel, was friendly, professional and efficient. She not only met us as scheduled, having purchased some initial groceries for us, but she also helped us out with a couple of other requests during our stay. She is a great resource for you. Our only suggestion for Memoria is that you furnish it with softer sheets and linens, and clear out some of the existing linens. We can hardly wait to go back for another stay! Meanwhile we have already told friends about ItalyPerfect and how well they worked with Claudia, our travel agent. [Thank you so much for your kind review. The Italy Perfect Team]

Accommodations and location were excellent. Everything was in walking distance from the apartment. Restaurants and other eating establishments in the area were excellent. Local residents were friendly and helpful. Isabell was very helpful in setting up tours and helping the ladies in their shopping endeavors. Did a good job explaining everything when we first got there and was available as questions arose during our stay. Also, Carolina was an excellent Tour Guide while in Rome for a couple of days.I would recommend this apartment and Italy Perfect to all interested parties!

Memoria was a prefect apartment for three of us for one week. The location is perfect and the view...cannot be adequately described. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, spacious, adequately appointed (including an operating WIFI, a washer and a dryer) and the balcony is a joy.Italy Perfect was easy to work with during the rental procedure. Our greeter was on time to meet us and provided a simple, yet full orientation to the apartment and the operations of the various items therein. She was also very responsive helping to take care of a minor issue that occurred during our stay. For those planning a week or longer stay in Florence, I cannot imagine a better property.

My wife and I stayed in this apartment in Florence in April, 2016 and we had a very enjoyable trip. The apartment is cheerful, bright and very well located overlooking the Pointe Vechio bridge. It is large with two bedrooms and two baths, a large bright living room, a fantastic balcony, a dining room, a good sized kitchen and good bathroom with tub-shower. It has a washer and dryer. It is 3 minutes to the Uffizi gallery and Piaza Dell Singori, very close to shopping and dining. The apartment is more pretty and larger than the pictures show. We were blessed with good weather during our stay. The apartment to reserve the apartment was made by Patty from Italy perfect and were very easy. She responded quickly usually within 1-2 hours and answered all my questions, and gave clear instructions. Transferring the money was easy and secure. Our greeter Isabel was great. She met us at the apartment, showed us around, and gave recommendations regarding resturants. I recommend getting the Florence Tourist pass. It is 72 Euros but well worth it. You get free admission to all museums and can use public transportation and see Italian villas. It is valid for 72 hours. It can be purchased on line or from the Uffizi gallery. The food is exceptional, and not very expensive. Try to eat where the locals eat. If you order coffee standing you pay only one Euro, but if you sit it is more expensive. Getting cash back at the airport for tax free items you bought is very easy. I definitely recommend this apartment and highly recommend Italy perfect. I already made reservation for an apartment in Rome in the fall. BS Foad, MD [Thank you very much for this review and the helpful information, Dr. Foad. We look forward to welcoming you in Rome! My wife and I stayed in this lovely apartment in Florence, Italy from April 16 for 6 nights, and we had a wonderful time. The e mail arrangement was very easy and Italy perfect represented by Pat was efficient, prompt and she answered questions clearly. It was a joy to work with her. I got her response within few hours, sometimes within the hour. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow, also payments and what to expect. I highly recommend Italy perfect for reserving an apartment The greeter Isabel was there to show us the place when we arrived. She spoke fluent English and explained everything in the apartment. When asked where to eat, she sent me an e mail with different recommendations for places where the locals eat, not touristic resturants. The apartment has two bedrooms of good size with ample closet space. There are two bathrooms and a good-sized kitchen with everything we may need, fully stocked. The family living room is large, bright and airy, opening to a balcony that overlooks the Ponte-Vechio bridge and the Arno river. The view is fantastic and sitting there on the balcony watching the beautiful scenery or seeing people walking below is great. Yet once you close the door the place is very quiet. There is a dining room with seating for four, again with large windows. The bath room has a shower and tub bath and bidet, and sink. Water was hot and with strong shower head. There is a washer and dryer as well The location could not be better right in front of the Ponte Vechio the number one attraction in Venice. It is 3 minutes to the Uffizi gallery and Della de Singiore piazza with its statues and cafes. From there the shopping street leads to the Duomo and further on to the Academia. I highly recommend the 72 visitor pass which gives you access to all museums and public transport and Italian villas. The Uffizi gallery and the Pitti palace and Academia are outstanding and a must see and among the great museums in Italy. We were fortunate in having excellent weather. Italian food is superb and not very expensive. In short I highly recommend Italy perfect and this fabulous apartment. We will surely go there again, hopefully next year [Thank you so much from the Italy Perfect Team]

This property is as advertised: quite large and nicely furnished down to the linens and kitchen compliments. Well maintained and clean. Superb location on a busy street right on the Arno, but high quality windows facing the street keep traffic noise to a minimum. Isabel, the "greeter" was very helpful, and when I suffered a foot injury while in Florence helped locate a physician. We would stay there again.

We stayed in Memoria for one week, September 5-12. The weather was PERFECT, this time of year. The apartment is divinely situated on the east bank of the Arno with a balcony that allowed us to sit and enjoy the storybook view. Spacious, clean rooms; comfortable beds, two full baths and room to truly "live" in Florence. We found a wonderful market right over the Ponte Vecchio with all the fresh produce, salumi, prosciutto, cheeses and affordable wines we needed. Our greeter helped us with restaurant reservations and recommended our favorite restaurant of the trip: Quattro Leones (4 Lions). (Order the fig, buratta and prosciutto salad). The cab cost a flat Euro 20 from the airport and taxis were easy to get and the dispatchers speak English. We can't wait to get back. Italy Perfect provided all the background info and instructions that made it seamless. We also used their recommended driver, Stefano, for a day trip and they were wonderful!!!!

I stayed at the Memoria Apartment in Florence in mid-August with my daughter and her college friend. It was in a fantastic location right near the north side of the Ponte Vecchio. The two bedrooms, the dining room, living room and the balcony all overlooked the Arno river and the Ponte Vecchio. Sitting on the balcony we saw amazing sunsets every evening over the river. The location is close to all the major sights and shopping. Crossing over the Ponte Vecchio to the grocery store was only a 3 minute walk. We would eat in at breakfast, then have appetizers and wine on the balcony before going out to dinner. Most importantly for three traveling women, we felt safe at this location. It was common to see police walking the area around the Ponte Vecchio. In the evenings, there was an organized musical event on the bridge; usually someone singing and playing guitar, and people of all ages would enjoy the show while eating their gelati. The windows in the apartment were insulated, so street noise was not a problem. I hope to return to this location with my husband. He and I had stayed at the nearby Portrait Hotel last spring; however, I feel that this apartment is a much better deal.

We recently stayed at the Memoria apartment, and I can't say enough good things about it. The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was even better than it appears on the ItalyPerfect website. Very spacious - more than enough room for 4 people - and the location is amazing. It was fun to watch the activity in the street below, and how the light changed during the evening as the sun set. Our greeter was also excellent - she explained how things worked, was available for questions during our stay in the apartment, and even gave us shopping tips and helped us pick out some leather bags and coats. This was our second time renting an apartment in Florence from ItalyPerfect. And we will rent from then again during our next trip to Italy! I would recommend ItalyPerfect to others planning a trip to Florence.

This apartment is as central as you can get to the heart of Firenze. It is on the fourth floor [with elevator] overlooking the Ponte Vecchio and the Arno. It is fully equipped with individual air conditioning in each room. The rooms are spacious and bright. Be sure to start your morning with Fernando's cappuccino at the Circus Restaurant in Piazza dell Signoria. We also loved the recently opened Fosso Bandito restaurant situated in a beautiful park a little west of the downtown area. Not to miss - Michelangelo's David in the Galleria dell'Accademia. Be sure to pre book to avoid the long line-ups. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone.

The Memoria property was well maintained, clean and had everything needed in stock. Although there were only two of us we enjoyed our space and separate bedrooms. Being there for a month gave us the freedom to travel around Italy by rail without lugging suitcases and having a comfortable place to come 'home' to. The washer, dryer, iron were a plus. Linens and bathrobes. Dishwasher, stove all worked well, lots of dishes, implements etc. Isabelle checked us in, great gal and excellent resource for information. Wall safe, elevator small but great to have. It can be a little noisy at times but who cares, you're in Florence. Best gelato right downstairs. Italy Perfect this time, Paris Perfect next.

We had a terrific visit to Florence and the apartment was perfect for our family (2 adults, 2 children) -- it fulfilled all of our needs in comfort and style, and the location could not have been better. When we were in the apartment with the balcony window open, we felt that were were in the thick of Florentine life. But when the window was closed,it was quiet and peaceful. Also, while I'm sure all of your greeters are wonderful, I am so glad that Isabel was our greeter. She was friendly and helpful and responsive and gave us great restaurant suggestions. When we had an issue with the hot water (the cleaning people had turned it off) Isabel responded to my email right away and give me the information I needed to turn on the furnace. She also offered to help me get a cab on the day we left. In small but important ways, she made our trip easier, and therefore more relaxing and enjoyable. We will enthusiastically recommend Italy Perfect to our friends looking for vacation rentals in Italy.

This apartment is centrally located in Florence overlooking the Ponte Vecchio and the Vasari coridor.Just over the bridge is an excellent grocery store . The apartment was very comfortable and offers a memorable view of the Arno. Our greeter, Francesca, was attentive and responsive. We stayed in the Memoria the last week of May and loved it. It is even more beautiful than the pictures show. The kitchen is nice and much bigger than most Italian kitchens. Overall it is a wonderful apartment that I hope we can return to again.

Memoria Review

by Four Californians in Florence
Four of us spent 12 “Italy Perfect” days in Florence in the Memoria apartment. We can attest to the accuracy of pictures and description of this apartment as displayed on the website. Italy Perfect provided a set of excellent guides to apartment living in Florence. Actually, this apartment exceeded our expectations. As foodies, the kitchen was better equipped than anticipated; we actually prepared several meals with fresh ingredients from the Central Market with contributions of Italian essentials (olive oil and balsamic vinegar) from former tenants. These former tenants also provided many tour books which were invaluable during our stay. We can’t imagine that there could be a better location than Memoria in Florence. Our greeter, Luca, directed us to a wonderful supermarket (Sapori & Dintorni Conad) just on the other side of the Ponte Vecchio. This market has everything you could possibly need or want. We were also able to walk to many great restaurants from our apartment. Our favorites were Trattoria Camillo, Golden View Open Bar and Restaurant and Bistro Del Mare. We also highly recommend the torta della nonna from Becagli and the schiacciata from Pugi. The torta is a custard filled pastry. The schiacciata is a Tuscan foccacia. Our stay included two day trips out of Florence. One day was on our own via train to Lucca and Pisa; the other day to Cinque Terre with Viator Tours. All the other days, we toured Florence on foot, a great way to work off those great meals we enjoyed. In summary, we highly recommend the Memoria apartment if you are looking for a centrally located air-conditioned, 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with elevator, full kitchen, washer and dryer, wifi AND acceptance of credit card for payment. Please note we spent quite a bit of time searching for an apartment with this set of criteria.

The was by far the best accommodations in all of Florence. The Memoria apartment was at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio. Located on the fourh floor, it has panoramic views of the Arno River, the Ponte Vecchio and the Boboli Gardens. We were able to visit many areas on foot and took a few day trips to Siena and Lucca. The S.M. Novella Firenze train station was a 10 minute walk and much easier than renting a car. Some of the needed details for a stay would be that there is a grocery store right on the opposite side of the Ponte Vecchio (Conad) for household supplies and the heat should be turned on about 20 minutes before you need hot water for showering. We recommend Tratorria Nella for dinner and if time allows, a tour or the wineries and a cooking class. Shopping at the San Lorenzo market for personal items and at the Mercado Market for food are also a must. Italy Perfect was excellent and a pleasure to work with. We were met by Lucca on our arrival and he went through the apartment thoroughly so that we would be familiar with the accommodations. The apartment was furnished beautifully. The size was excellent and comfortable accommodated four adults. There was a small elevator so one person at a time but very reliable service. Upon leaving Lucca returned to ensure all was in order. Again, very efficient and hassle free. We would certainly refer friends and family to Italy Perfect and have done so already. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

This apartment really helped make our visit to Florence absolutely perfect. It was quite large, well equipped and simply but very elegantly furnished; the key however, was the location. Located right on the Ponte Vecchio, it affords a visitor the comfort of roaming the streets of Florence and knowing you could never possibly not figure out how to get home. Everything from Memoria is so incredibly convenient and accessible, it makes this walking city even more enticing and enjoyable. We loved every moment outside, but were always thrilled to come back to the comfort (and the amazing terrace with incredible view) of our lovely home away from home. The staff at ItalyPerfect really outdid themselves, and I am already looking forward to returning to Memoria soon. Pat, Lisa and their contact Francesca are all thoughtful and thorough, and my confidence in them was well-rewarded with one of the best vacations of my life!

We spent one week at Memoria and thought it was wonderful. We have 3 older teenagers and there was more than enough room for everyone. The apartment was very well appointed, and had all the staples and kitchen implements we needed. It provided a wonderful opportunity to have a lighter breakfast and lunch if we wanted. All appliances were excellent, the kids loved the high speed internet, and in August, the air conditioning was a welcome feature. It was a perfect location for everything--restaurants, night life, Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace and all the Florence attractions. We frequented the local grocery store daily and picked up great fruits and breads. An absolutely perfect location and superior accommodation.

I cannot begin to describe how absolutely perfect this apartment was -- I have already asked to reserve it for when my daughter spends a college semester in Florence, which won't be for 8 years. It was stunningly spacious for and Italian apartment, the view from the terrace was incredible, and the location made for easy travel anywhere because you couldn't get lost getting home since you are sitting on top of the Ponte Vecchio. I really wish we could have stayed longer! The ice cream shop outside the door to the left is wonderful, the grocery store across the bridge to the left is amazingly abundant (get the mortadella and the burrata, please!), and food in Florence beat anything we had anywhere else in Italy. We liked Due Sorelle (a little higher end) and loved Osteria al Cinghiale Biancho. Note to visitors to outdoor restaurants because we saw a lot of people do this -- please do not walk in and just sit down at a random outside table, the waitstaff HATES that and will show you just how much in their own special way. Final note, the Uffizi now offers a membership called Amici degli Uffizi which is invaluable. You get to walk into the office, pick up a darling membership card with your name on it and then go right to the front of the entrance line, which on our day looked to be over two hours waiting. It also affords you the same opportunity at Accademia, just you go to the reservations line and wait for a short while there, which again saved us about an hour in waiting. If you add up the cost of the membership against your entry fees you are ahead of the game, both financially and timewise. Overall, an amazing trip, cannot wait to return.

This was an excellent property especially for a long term rental. Excellent not only in the apartment's appointments but location as well. With approximately 1,200 square feet, two separate bedrooms, a separate dining room with a sofa/bed couch for additional sleeping, a lovely light filled living room with veranda (overlooking the Ponte Vecchio, Vasari corridor and the Arno River with views to Pizzale Michelangelo), full sized kitchen with all of the modern appliances, and, BONUS, a separate laundry room. Oh, and I forgot to mention two separate bathrooms. While this location could be a little noisy on Friday and Saturday nights, the double walled windows and door kept out most of it, and the AC units in each room were really appreciated and provided great relief from the heat and humidity. Even if the day was warm, with the location on the river and the cross ventilation, there was always a breeze in the apartment. Back to location, excellent for walking to all of the sights. Heck, the Ufizzi was right next door, the Pitti Palace just over the bridge, the Piazza Della Signoria was right around the block, as was the Straw Market, the Piazza Republica and of course, the Duomo, Baptistry and Bell Tower. Our local rental agent, Francesca, was most helpful and available if we needed anything. And, we enjoyed the weekly cleaning service provided so that made us feel more like we were on vacation. The Conad grocery store is conveniently located right across the bridge and has a wonderful bakery and deli section with ready made items - quick and tasty. I have to say my experience renting with Italy Perfect receives an A+ grade. I found Pat and Lisa to be very responsive and helpful, and totally prepared us for just about any and all concerns including using/renting a phone in Italy, best way to obtain Euors (ATM), etc., etc. If I have a future opportunity, I would most certainly select and recommend Italy Perfect to all my friends.

The accommodation was excellent. It was very well equipped with normal household things, but I would request a better kettle, a more modern TV and to have face cloths (as a traveller I don't like having my own wet facecloth packed). Also very good to have window screens. Nice to be able to open the windows without letting insects in. We already knew the location and that was a factor in choosing Memoria. Perhaps a basic map showing local grocery shops would be helpful. Also an indication of where bus stops are for which number bus. (for example to get to the station) As Memoria is very central to sites it would not be necessary to indicate where they are. Yes, I would recommend Memoria to a friend, but the cost might be prohibitive. It was particularly useful to have a representative meet us there and explain the workings of the various appliances, which she did very well. Overall, a most enjoyable stay

The pictures do not do the appt justice. The balcony and view out over the river and the Pont Vecchio on a sunny afternoon with a glass of wine is one life's ahhh moments. The location is excellent, close to everything including a grocery store just across the river. The only hitch was when the city turned off the water one evening - appearantly this happens with some regularity without warning. Francescia was a great resource and even arranged a taxi for us at 5am for us to catch our early flight. We would recommend this appartment to anybody who wants to be in the heart of the city and next door to a great gelato shop as well.

This apartment is all about the view and the location. Everyday, it was a privilege to wake up and go to sleep seeing the view of the Ponte Vecchio, Vasari Corridor and the Arno River. EVERYTHING is at your doorstep. Frank, whose wife owns the apartment is a wonderful guy and unbelievably helpful. While, there were a few things that did go wrong (no water one night, internet problems and the dryer didn't work) everything was taken care of as soon as possible. The apartment is furnished satisfactorily. It isn't a hotel so, if, you are interested in a Four Seasons or a Ritz...this isn't for you. It is, however, roomy and comfortable with tons of charm. The kitchen is very useable and having the dining area (convertible third bedroom) is a pleasure. The TV works great, especially after Frank showed us how to get channels in English. There is also a CD Player to use after you buy CD's from the fabulous street singers. For an extended stay this place is wonderful (we were there for a month). We felt like real "natives" and it was great to be able to have lunch or dinner at home , instead of going out for every meal. Overall, as you can tell, we loved our stay at Memoria.
